Even though I haven’t been in a traditional classroom setting in years, back-to-school time seems almost like a second new year to me—it’s a chance for self-examination, a chance for renewal, a chance to embark on refreshed goals. Even still, as is often the case with New Year’s resolutions, I find that it’s easy to lose interest not long in to the process. So today I was particularly warmed when I stumbled across the following quote from Carl Jung: “You are what you do, not what you say you’ll do.” It’s a great reminder as I skip down this path of newness—one that I’ll be sure to revisit in just a few weeks.
